Terms for customers
The agreement between you and Redeo when you hold a card. Plain words, and nothing in it takes away your rights as a consumer.
- The reward is the place's to give.
- Punches have no cash value.
- If a place changes its card, your punches stay.
- Redeo is free for card holders.
These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and AUTH LTD, which runs Redeo ("we", "us"). AUTH LTD is registered in England and Wales, company no. 17296846, at Suite A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall IP28 7DE.
They apply when you use Redeo to hold a card: in the Redeo app, in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, or on a card's web page. By using Redeo you agree to them. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.
How we use your personal data is in the privacy policy.
What Redeo is
Redeo lets places such as cafés, bakeries, barbers and car washes give out punch cards. You keep a card in the app, in your Wallet, or on its web page. When you show its code at the counter, the place's till punches it. When the card is full, the place gives you the reward.
Redeo is free for card holders. We'll never charge you without asking you first.
Who can use it
- You must be 13 or over.
- Redeo is for your personal use, not for a business.
- One account each. Keep your email address up to date, and don't let anyone else sign in as you.
Each card is the place's
Each card is offered by a place, not by Redeo. The place decides what counts, how many punches it takes, what the reward is, and whether punches or rewards expire. The card shows this.
- The reward is given by the place. If there's a problem with a reward, or with anything you bought, speak to the place. You can also write to [email protected], and we'll help where we can.
- Punches and rewards have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money, sold or passed to someone else.
- One punch for each item that counts, as the place's till records it. If a punch is missing, report it from the card within 7 days of your visit. The place decides, and the app shows its answer.
- A place can change its card. You keep every punch you have. The new rule shows on the card from the day it starts, and we tell you in the app.
- A place can end a card. We tell you in the app when it does. Punches count until the last day it gives, and a reward you've earned stays valid after that until it expires.
- A place can leave Redeo. Its cards and rewards keep working for 30 days, and we tell you in the app on the day it decides. After that, its cards stop.
- A place can be paused on Redeo, for example while we look into a problem. Its cards can't be punched while it's paused, and your punches stay.
Your part
- Use your own cards. Don't share a card's code or a picture of it. If a code gets around, we can give the card a new one; the punches stay.
- Report only punches that are really missing, and send only receipts that are yours.
- Don't take cards in bulk, use automated tools on Redeo, or try to get into parts of it that aren't meant for you.
- Don't use Redeo to break the law or to harm anyone.
Our part
- We provide Redeo with reasonable care and skill.
- We keep improving Redeo, so it will change. We may also change it to keep it secure or to follow the law. We won't take away punches you have.
- We aim to keep Redeo working at all times, but it can be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If the till can't read your card, staff can type its code instead.
- If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard licence for apps also applies. Apple and Google aren't responsible for Redeo, and they provide Wallet under their own terms.
Stopping
- You can stop at any time. Take a card out of the app, or delete your account in Me, Privacy and data. A deletion runs after 7 days, in case you change your mind; signing in before then keeps your account. A card you took on the web can be deleted by asking us.
- We can suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you misuse Redeo in a way that harms places or other people, or if the law requires it. We'll tell you why, unless the law or someone's safety stops us.
- If we ever stop running Redeo, we'll tell you at least 30 days before.
If something goes wrong
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- If we don't provide Redeo with reasonable care and skill, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- We're responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our negligence. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable.
- We're not responsible for what a place does or doesn't do, including whether it gives a reward. That's between you and the place.
- Redeo is for personal use, so we're not responsible for any loss of business or profit.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when Redeo changes, to keep it secure, or when the law changes. We publish every version here with its date. If a change affects you, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.
Complaints and the law
If you're unhappy with Redeo, write to [email protected] and we'll try to put it right. For anything about your personal data, use the privacy request form.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and your local law protects you as well.
